Hunter Changes
- 6 fps = Fucking finally.
- Cobra Shot generates 9 focus = Fucking finally.
- Expose Weakness removal = While recouping 3 talent points means we can take OwN, I don’t like losing a SV staple. EW was why raids brought SV hunters in BC. EW is SV’s answer to Piercing Shots. EW was one of the more interesting Cataclysm talents. I’m guessing Blizzard thinks that with increased focus regen, we’ll have enough focus to maintain SrS and BA, which will mitigate the loss of EW. I’m not convinced.
- Hunting Party down to one rank = Even less reason to take it. I probably will still take it—can’t get me enough Agility and I don’t have a better place for the 35th talent point—but it still seems weird.
- 20% melee haste buff = Uhh, wtf? Why are we the only spec with two raid buffs that we can’t use? People are reporting that the buff affects auto shot, which is insulting. How about we get the agility buff instead? That makes far more sense than DK’s Horn of Winter.
- Careful Aim = So MM will have nearly 100% crit rate on targets above 60% health? That’s getting nerfed.
Initial reports are positive re: focus regen. Hope remains.

I know, I’m a month behind on the latest blogosphere meme. I needed some filler for this post finally got around to seeing who I write like.

Activity
Busy time of the year for me. Vacations, relatives, work, summer, good times. Not much time for WoW. I’ll post when I can, but expect a slow down on posts until after Labor Day. State Fair ftw!
In addition, I’m slowing down in WoW. My guild is making one last push to get our 25-man ICC drakes, but we’re doing it one night a week. Just need heroic Putricide, heroic Sindragosa, and Neck-Deep in Vile. We’ve put some time into H-PP, never attempted H-Sind, and have only made a couple serious stabs at NDinV. After that, though, we’ll probably stop raiding altogether.
So if I’m not raiding, what am I doing with my time? PvP, dailies, relaxing, not playing WoW (Angry Birds ftw!) No, I’m not playing StarCraft 2. I am abjectly horrible at RTS games. I play like Dr. Evil kills prisoners: I give orders to my units, send them in, assume everything went according to plan. Ya, never seems to work out that way. I plan on popping into beta again. Just gotta get the wife to stop leveling her pally.

I believe that GC said Hunting Party will give both a ranged and melee haste buff. He said it will function like a Shaman’s Windfury totem. I think the tooltip isn’t updated.
I hope so. Still, haste seems like an odd choice for hunters, let alone SV hunters.
Crit rate depression is intense. From 60% base at 80 to just over 20% at 83, without changing gear
Well, crit is insane these days. When everything procs in a raid, I’m way past the crit cap. I wouldnt worry about crit depression unless we’re under 40% at 85 raid-buffed.
